Crew Jumpseat:
One App for Every
Part of Your Airline Life
Created by Crew For Crew
This crew travel tool is created for people who experience the world differently, designed specifically for airline crew navigating layovers, repeat cities, commuting, personal travel, and life between flights.
As Flight Crew, we don’t collect cities the way everyone else does. We collect them in fragments: a favorite café in Paris, a spa day in Milan, a rooftop gym in Singapore, a country stamp earned on reserve, a recommendation scribbled on the back of a boarding pass. Crew Jumpseat brings those pieces together, so the life you’ve built in transit doesn’t slip away. Crew Jumpseat helps to bring together the pieces of airline life that usually get scattered. Like:
• The coffee shop someone mentioned in briefing.
• The airport restaurant that let’s crew cut the line.
• The beach club that’s everyone talks about.
• The restaurant you saves crew a table without a reservation.
• The outdoor market with the best unfiltered olive oil.
• The spa with the €35 most relaxing massages.
• The country stamps you’ve collected over years of flying.
• The non-rev tools you scramble to find before every commute.
• The crew intel that turns a slam-click layover into something memorable.
Instead of losing those details in text threads, screenshots, browser tabs, paper notes, forgotten map pins, and half-remembered conversations, Crew Jumpseat keeps them together in one place.
Part airline companion. Part crew travel hub. Part personal travel journal.
Whether you’re organizing today’s rotation, collecting the footprint of everywhere this life has taken you, or planning what bucketlist trip comes next, Crew Jumpseat helps you hold onto the moments, places, and experiences that make airline life unlike any other.
List yourself on the jumpseat for early access, and unlock special features while Crew Jumpseat is free!
Please sign up using your airline email so we keep the app “crew only!” Personal email addresses will not be accepted.
And don’t forget to share our app with your colleagues – the crew members who make this lifestyle extraordinary.

Share Your Crew Intel
Why? Because every crew member knows the feeling:
You land exhausted. You almost slam-click the hotel. Then someone gives you one incredible recommendation, and suddenly the entire layover changes.
Long before social media influencers existed, airline crew were the original travel insiders. We’ve been swapping recommendations in briefing rooms, hotel vans, on the jumpseat and crew lounges for decades. We know which places are actually worth your limited time and which ones to skip.
We’re looking for authentic recommendations from real crew, places and experiences that feel unforgettable.
- Hidden locations with incredible food and atmosphere
- Recovery recommendations, like day spas and the best massages
- Restaurants near the hotel that are actually good
- Quiet beaches and sunset viewpoints
- Layover adventures like a catamaran with dinner included at sunset or beach clubs where the locals go
- Crew-friendly gyms and classes that are worth the extra euros
- Day trips – how far away, and how to get there
- Places actually worth leaving the hotel for
- Crew essentials, like best pharmacies, grocery stores and hair salons
Your recommendation could completely change someone’s layover.
FAQs
What is the CREW JUMPSEAT app?
Crew Jumpseat is an airline lifestyle app designed for flight attendants and pilots. It combines trip organization, crew tools, travel tracking, collectibles, and layover inspiration into one place.
Is my information private?
Absoutely! Your notes, trips, crew lists and the No-Fly are personal to your account. We do not see this information, nor do any other colleagues. If you want more specific information, please view our privacy policy.
Is this app only for flight crew?
Yes! Registration requires a valid airline email address, and many of the features simply wouldn’t apply outside the industry.
Crew Jumpseat was designed specifically for flight attendants and pilots – all airline crew because no one experiences travel quite the same way. Returning to the same cities with different crews, changing schedules, and limited time creates a unique way of moving through the world.
From non-rev travel tools and Known Crew Member access points to crew rest calculators, currency exchange, layover notes, rotation tracking, a no-fly list, and airline-specific resources, the app was designed around the realities of airline life.
That said, many of the app’s features work beautifully for personal travel, too. You can organize bucket-list trips, track countries and U.S. states you’ve visited, collect National Parks, save travel memories, and build your own travel footprint beyond work.
If you’re part of the airline community, welcome aboard. And if you know another crew member who could benefit from having their airline life organized in one place, please share Crew Jumpseat with them.
Where do I get started on the app?
The beauty of Crew Jumpseat is that there’s no “right” place to begin. The app was designed to grow with you, so start with whatever excites you most.
Want to see the footprint of your airline life? Begin by exploring the collections. Tap the countries you’ve visited to unlock passport stamps, mark off U.S. states to reveal postage stamps, collect National Parks through ranger badges, and discover boarding passes, globe badges, luggage tags, postcards, and other keepsakes that transform years of travel into something you can actually see and celebrate.
More practical by nature? Upload your next trip and watch Crew Jumpseat organize the details of airline life as they happen. Save rotation notes, add photos, keep track of crew recommendations, revisit recent trips, and build a trip history that extends far beyond your airline’s records.
Don’t stop there. Crew Jumpseat is built deep. Explore the app and you’ll discover places to save layover notes, create a private No Fly List, track personal adventures, uncover curated layover ideas, access crew travel resources, search crew members names from your input – and collect the moments and memories that make this lifestyle uniquely yours.
There are countless ways to get started. The only question is: what part of airline life do you want to explore first?
What is it that I can track and collect?
You can track everything from your favorite layover finds and crew recommendations to work notes, layover notes, and even your personal no-fly list.
Keep tabs on bucket-list adventures, personal trips, countries and U.S. states you’ve visited, National Parks you’ve explored, and the experiences that have shaped your airline life.
Whether it’s today’s rotation or the footprint of everywhere this career has taken you, Crew Jumpseat helps you organize it all in one place. You can manually add past destinations, countries, U.S. states, National Parks, and personal travel whenever you want, by unlocking special country and state stamps, national park badges,
Countries = passport stamps
U. S. States – postage stamps
National parks = ranger badges
Iconic cities = boarding passes
Polar/adventure regions = luggage tags
Natural places = postcards
Ocean/island places = teardrop badges
Can I add "personal" travel from in the past?
Yes! and we doing suggest doing it first, is so gratifying and fun! Who doesn’t want to visually see all the places you’ve been? You can manually add countries, U.S. states, National Parks, and personal trips to build your travel footprint. Wait until you see what we’ve included…
Do I need to upload every past work trip?
If you’re a brand-new flight attendant or pilot, this is the perfect opportunity to start from the beginning. By uploading each trip as you go, you’ll create a complete record of your airline life from day one—something most airlines don’t preserve for you.
If you’ve been flying for years, don’t feel like you need to recreate your entire career overnight. In fact, many airlines only keep records of a few months’ worth of past trips, so you may not even have access to your full history—and that’s okay.
If you happen to have old trip records and want to upload them, wonderful. But if not, simply start where you are. Upload today’s trip and let your story grow from there. You can always add past countries, U.S. states, National Parks, and personal adventures whenever you’re ready.
Crew Jumpseat isn’t about perfection—it’s about preserving the pieces of airline life that matter most to you. Starting now.
What is the Crew Travel Hub?
It’s a quick-access area for crew resources like Known Crew Member, StaffTraveler, MyIDTravel, Flighty, Sherpa eVisa, LoungePair, AeroWeather, FlyZED, Airline Staff Rates, TripIt, and Volunteer DART.
How do I search for layover ideas?
The Explore Layover Ideas feature was built for the moments when you ask, “I have 18 hours here… now what?”
Crew Jumpseat connects you with curated Viator and GetYourGuide experiences in layover cities around the world. But unlike scrolling through hundreds of generic tours, we focus on the kinds of experiences crew actually want to spend their precious downtime on.
Think:
• A hidden rooftop dinner with skyline views.
• A sunrise hike before your van pickup.
• The spa everyone whispers about in briefing.
• A cooking class you’ll still talk about years later.
• A quick adventure worth leaving the hotel for.
• The unforgettable experiences most tourists never find.
Because when you only have a few hours in a city, every recommendation matters. Crew Jumpseat helps you turn ordinary layovers into stories you’ll tell long after the trip is over.
What is the No-Fly List?
It’s your private place to remember people, pairings, or situations you’d rather avoid in the future.
Can I use this app for layover notes?
What is the difference between Layover Notes and Work Notes?
Layover Notes are city-based favorites like restaurants, spas, gyms, coffee shops, and walking routes. Work Notes are tied to specific rotations or trips.
Why do I need Crew Jumpseat if I already use Notes on my phone?
Because airline life doesn’t fit neatly into a notes app. Crew Jumpseat brings together the pieces of your airline life that are usually scattered across screenshots, text messages, browser tabs, calendars, map pins, and handwritten lists. From layover favorites and work notes to travel collections and crew tools, everything lives in one place designed specifically for airline crew.
Why is Volunteer DART included in Crew Jumpseat as a Tool?
Because airline life isn’t just about where we go—it’s also about how we use the incredible privileges we’ve been given.
For many crew members, flight benefits become an opportunity to serve others. Volunteer DART connects airline employees with animal rescue organizations that rely on crew to help transport pets to foster homes, adopters, and rescue partners around the world. It’s one small example of the quiet ways crew members use their unique access to make a difference.
Crew Jumpseat isn’t just about organizing trips and collecting travel memories. It’s also about celebrating the generosity, community, and purpose that often come with this lifestyle. Because sometimes the most meaningful journeys aren’t the ones we take for ourselves.
